The Adam Equipment floor scale and weight Indicator is a scale that has an indicator with a bright, backlit display that provides clear readings even in dim light. The 15-foot cable allows the indicator to be placed where it is most readable, out of the way of the scale. The use of the integrated bracket and hardware, the indicator may also be mounted to the wall or propped on a table and then tilted to adjust the viewing angle. The 1,200 x 1,200mm (47.5 x 47.5 inches) steel weighing platform is low profile, for easy loading and unloading, and has four load cells, a tread plate with a raised cross-hatch surface for slip-resistance, and four nonslip rubber feet that adjust to level the platform. The scale operates The use of AC power or the built-in rechargeable battery, offering full mobility for up to 70 hours in the field and when a power supply is hard to find. The auto off option may also be enabled to power off the scale automatically after periods of inaction to conserve power. The indicator’s integrated RS-232 port connects to a printer or PC for manual or automatic data recording with text in English, French, German, or Spanish.
The scale weighs in six different units and provides a capacity tracker for visual reference to prevent it from being overloaded. The scale performs weighing, check-weighing, percent-weighing, parts-counting tasks, in addition to dynamic weighing of unstable samples (such as animals) or in unstable environments. Red, green, and yellow LED lights and an optional audible alarm notify the user all the way through check weighing mode if the load is under, over, or within the pre-set weight limit. The automatic external calibration system ensures repeatable readings. The durable sealed indicator can withstand heavy industrial applications, and is rated to level IP66 against dust and strong jets of water. When used according to manufacturer’s recommendations, this product is covered by a one-year warranty against defects in workmanship or materials.

Scales and balances are measuring instruments used to decide the mass of an object. Mechanical balances are the most simple type of balance, and use a lever and slide to indicate the measurement. Conventional balances are commonly used in offices, the jewelry industry, and in kitchens, and display results digitally, but are less precise than analytical balances. Analytical balances measure to a high degree of precision and accuracy (0.0001g or better), and display results digitally. These balances have a cover with doors to prevent dust and airflow from affecting the measurement. Moisture balances analyze moisture content in a material sample, The use of infrared or halogen heat sources to dry the sample and then calculate the moisture content from the before- and after-drying weight, and display results digitally, on the balance, or transfer the information for display on a pc.
Adam Equipment manufactures balances, scales, and related accessories for laboratory, educational, industrial, retail, and medical applications. The company, which used to be founded in the UK in 1972 and has an office in Danbury, CT, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 standards.
